CDL Air Brake Test Overview
Anyone who intends to operate a vehicle with air brakes will need to earn their air brakes endorsement. The air brakes endorsement is very common as many truck drivers add this to their license. This is a great way to increase your truck driver salary.
There are two parts to the air brakes endorsement exam:
- Written portion
- Skills portion
The written portion will vary from state to state, but you can generally expect the following:
- 25 questions
- Multiple-choice questions
- Need a passing score of 80% or higher
