PAX stands for Pre-Admission Exam. This exam is used by nursing schools to determine if someone would be a good applicant for the program. The NLN PAX exam consists of three tests.

Some topics on the Verbal Ability section may include word knowledge and reading comprehension.
Some topics on the Math section may include basic calculations, word problems, algebra, geometry, conversions, graphs, and applied mathematics.
Some topics on the Science section may include biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science material.
