Many nursing schools require candidates to take an entrance exam. Nursing programs are under extreme pressure to only admit the most qualified candidates because of accreditation requirements concerning retention, pass rates, and placement success.
The TEAS test, also known as the Test of Essential Academic Skills, is a standardized entrance admissions test used by many nursing programs to assess the suitability of a candidate for admission. The test is developed by ATI and is intended to be a predictor of a student's success in nursing school.
The TEAS test assesses a nursing candidate's skills in reading, math, science and English and language usage. Take a TEAS practice test to help prepare for this exam.
