HSPT Information

HSPT stands for High School Placement Test. This test is made up of 5 different sections. This test is used by many parochial and private schools to evaluate potential candidates for admission. 

The five sections that make up the HSPT include:

  • Verbal Skills - This section includes 60 multiple-choice questions and students are given 16 minutes to complete.
  • Quantitative Skills - This section includes 52 multiple-choice questions and students are given 30 minutes to complete.
  • Reading Comprehension - This section includes 62 multiple-choice questions and students are given 25 minutes to complete.
  • Mathematics - This section includes 64 multiple-choice questions and students are given 45 minutes to complete.
  • Language Skills - This section includes 60 multiple-choice questions and students are given 25 minutes to complete.
